And Now the Fallout

So it has finally happened, after all the hysteria about rape and sexual assault on college campuses nationwide, that we see this as a resulting consequence. Of course the article is very polite in relaying the message that men are not interested in women anymore during their college years who happen to be college students, so instead I guess they are finally going to start focusing on their studies.  I guess this is a good thing, seeing as it takes a woman to destroy a perfectly good man. Out sons are now safe to pursue their dreams of achieving something worthwhile, and not having the stigma of marriage and family to get in the way. Heck, isn't this the message we've been giving women? Career first then family? They could have it all, so why can't a man?

Looks like this might end up being score 1 for equality finally. I can't believe I'm saying this but yes, this could be a good thing, putting the ball in a man's court, enabling him to decide when are where the relationship takes place, whether a casual hook-up or something more serious. However, I don't see it being too long before feminists hijack this moment to put the women first and make it seem like its the women that are the real victims, similar to what happened when men were being left out (more like forced out) when there was (and still is) an initiative to send more women to college. Unfortunately more women do go to college and have been for a while and what is the response to this situation? That its not enough. Apparently math is not the strong suit of feminist minded people because somehow having a 60:40 split is still not equal, for those in the 60 category that is. What do they think, that when 100 percent of college attendance is women it will be equal? I can't even fathom it because I'm not a total idiot.  Yet I digress...

I'm just waiting until the fact that men are no longer showing interest in women at colleges turns into an event where women are the victims, and somehow neglecting them will create a new 'rape hysteria' of which we must punish the men. I can see it now, neglect rape, where you completely objectify her by showing no interest in her whatsoever, thus killing her self-esteem and traumatizing her. That's right PTSD anyone for being ignored by some guy you just met on campus? He raped my confidence. Think I'm wrong? Neglect is already a form of abuse, same with neglecting to have sex with your partner, but only if she's a woman.
