Why is Sexual Assault Any Different From Any Other Crime?

Something I’ll never understand about why this type of crime is so special that even when someone is found innocent (or not guilty which still means just that, not guilty), the smear campaign continues in order to keep up the perpetual victim mentality of those who accuse because after all, women never lie right?

Mind you now, I know men can be sexually accosted, just like a woman, and by a woman even, but again, society has their blinders on to this obvious fact.

Back to the original point.

So what if someone wants to celebrate their exoneration from a rape accusation? Hooray they didn’t go directly to jail, who wouldn’t be happy? Would it really be so detrimental for real rape victims, to the point that they will not want to come forward because there is a chance that the law helps protect those they accuse from automatically being lambasted and locked up? Apparently according to some people it will.

This individual is no exception when it comes to ranting about what discourages victims from reporting. Apparently it’s the mentality of so many ideologues that when it comes to sexual assault cases, anytime things don’t go their way (basically, the women aren’t unconditionally and unanimously believed and the perpetrator they accuse not hanged), it will be to the detriment of all women who are victims of this heinous crime by making them too scared to report their rape to authorities. So what else do we have to do to avoid this unproven travesty against rape victims, more unconstitutional laws, or perhaps a lower standard of evidence for conviction against those accused? Already done, but it isn’t enough. Now we cannot even talk about those who are acquitted or confirmed innocent by reason of evidence. Will that be enough? Probably not because there is still the fact that the alleged perpetrator might not be convicted when accused. It will still be considered problematic because there is a remote chance that someone somewhere will hear about it and be deterred from coming forward because they aren't fully guaranteed the person they point to will be instantly charged and imprisoned. So I’m betting we are just going to go ahead and start automatically convicting those accused. This in order so that victims will have no doubt that no matter what they say or who they accuse, the moment they speak out they will be unconditionally believed and whomever they point the finger at will be punished without question, and all by their word alone. Maybe then that will be enough?  Maybe?

Perhaps not even that eventually, perhaps even eventually feminist ideologues will decide that everything discourages reporting, even reporting, so we are going to have to set up militia teams to go around the neighborhood and visit each and every woman asking if they are the victims of sexual assault and even if they say no, find the nearest man and administer vigilante justice.  But wait women don't lie, she must be under the influence of the patriarchy. And what about the men coming within viewing distance of the woman, that's sexual assault too, so once they are done punishing every man they can find, they must turn the noose on themselves. Maybe then that will be enough? Just maybe.
